Pastor Jake Mannon and his family have been with us since August of 2013. Pastor Jake grew up in a Christian home where his father served as a deacon in the church he grew up in. He was saved at the tender age of four and grew up learning the Scriptures his entire life. When he was a teenager, he surrendered his life to be in the full time ministry. In 2010, Pastor Jake re-dedicated his life for Christ and entered a local Bible Institute. Pastor Jake received his Biblical instruction there and, to his surprise, met the Pastor he would later serve with, as Pastor Bucklew teaches Old Testament Survey at the Institute. Early 2013, Pastor Bucklew’s assistant pastor moved on to his own church and Pastor Jake immediately began to be burdened for Heritage Baptist Church. He and his wife began praying for God’s will in the matter until one day Pastor Bucklew mentioned to Pastor Jake to pray about serving with him at Heritage Baptist Church. He told him he’d already been praying about it and he and his wife both felt it was the Lord’s will to serve at Heritage. In August of 2013, Pastor Jake left the church he grew up in and began to serve the Lord in this ministry. In May of 2014, Pastor Jake graduated from the Bible Institute. Pastor Jake’s focus is on the youth of Upper Sandusky. He works very hard to reach the youth that are already here, as well as the rest of the youth in Upper Sandusky with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Jake and his wife, Becky, have been married since August of 2009 and have 4 young children. In early 2015, Heritage Baptist Church called for the ordination of Pastor Jake Mannon. On February 21st, 2015, Pastor Mannon was ordained into the gospel ministry.
